- Playing with Songs: Practice playing along with simple songs to apply what you’ve learned in a musical context.
- Introduction to Basic Drum Rolls: Learn basic drum rolls and incorporate them into your playing.
- Rudiments: Focus on single strokes, double strokes, and essential rudiments for building a solid foundation.
Intermediate Level
- Advanced Rudiments: Explore complex rudiments like paradiddles, flams, and drags to enhance your technical skills.
- Independence and Coordination: Develop independence between your hands and feet, a critical skill for more advanced drumming.
- Groove and Style Exploration: Learn different grooves and styles, including rock, jazz, funk, and more.
- Dynamics and Articulation: Work on controlling dynamics (loudness and softness) and articulation to bring expression to your drumming.
- Playing with a Band: Learn the essentials of playing in a band, including how to lock in with the bass player and other musicians.
- Creating Rhythm Patterns: Start composing your own rhythm patterns and learn how to structure drum parts for songs.
Graded Exam
Students who have completed their foundation or intermediate course and now looking to pursue graded examinations from initial to diploma level.
